Bamboo UD Tape Pro™- The world’s most climate-positive tape

How we create endless unidirectional tape
Making unidirectional (UD) tape from bamboo fibers of 12-15 cm in length is a complex yet innovative process. Here’s how it works:

1. Cross-Directional base: We first align the bamboo fibers at a 90-degree angle to the final tape direction. The width of this tape is determined by the fiber length.
2. Layering and stitching: Several cross-directional tapes are placed side-by-side, slightly overlapping. These layers are then stitched together as the line progresses. The width of the line is 1.6 meters.
3. Final tape creation: The layered and stitched tapes are rolled out to create the final (endless) UD tape, which can be delivered as a dry tape or impregnated (prepregged) with resin.

In addition to the standard 0° or 90° orientations, Bamboo UD Tape Pro™ can also be produced in 30°, 45°, or 60° orientations, offering unmatched flexibility for different applications.
