We're moving to a climate-friendly production facility in Amsterdam
We proudly announce that we are planning the transition to a climate-friendly production facility in the harbor of Amsterdam. CTPark Amsterdam City matches our requirements to keep our footprint as low as possible, enabling us to maintain our claim for climate positive composites. All the products leaving our factory have a carbon negative footprint. In CTPark Amsterdam City we can make full use of the 5MW solar panels on the roof for our mechanical extraction of fibers from bamboo. In addition, the transport of bamboo in large vessels, can be deposited straight onto our doorstep and moved into our factory.
We are planning to consolidate our existing factory in Amsterdam and Zaandam, into this new facility. We can grow and upscale many times in this building. If our growth extends beyond the Netherlands, with CTPark we can also set up elsewhere in Europe.
Harm van der Weiden (CTPark Amsterdam City): "We welcome Bambooder into our premises. Bambooder perfectly matches our vision to help scale up companies that produce sustainable solutions. Bambooder specifically asked for all the ins and outs of our energy supply. Proof for LCA's was one of the most important topics on the agenda."
Robbert Woltering (Bambooder): "Energy supply for factories in Amsterdam is challenging. Solar-powered energy is even more so. We are happy to have found this match, so close to our existing home."
The CTPark Amsterdam City facility enables Bambooder to meet our own and our customers' procurement departments' strict requirements concerning safety and quality standards. This is a major milestone in our upscaling to mass production in 2025 for our three production lines.
